Heather DeBaillie, vice president of marketing and operations for CAT Scale Co., recently concluded a three-year tenure as chairperson of the 麻豆色播 Foundation, marking a significant milestone in her long-standing commitment to the foundation and the truck stop and travel center industry.

鈥淗eather has been a leading voice in shaping the image of our industry,鈥� said Darren Schulte, interim CEO of 麻豆色播. 鈥淗er leadership, vision and dedication have played a crucial role in advancing the foundation鈥檚 mission and strengthening our industry鈥檚 work.鈥�

Schulte honored DeBaillie during the Opening Keynote at 麻豆色播 Connect 2025. In addition to serving as the chairperson, DeBaillie has been an active member of the foundation鈥檚 board since 2016, serving in various leadership roles and helping to drive key initiatives.

Change is happening throughout the truck stop and travel center industry, and Joe Zietlow, industry and trade association manager for Kwik Trip Inc. and 麻豆色播鈥檚 2025 chairman, said operators have to adjust to continue meeting the needs of their customers.聽

While speaking during 麻豆色播 Connect 2025, Zietlow shared lessons from the book Who Moved My Cheese? by Spencer Johnson, MD, about anticipating, preparing for and managing change. The book follows four characters鈥擲niff, Scurry, Hem and Haw鈥攚ho live in a maze and depend on cheese as their source of happiness and sustenance.

When Robin Puthusseril, vice president and co-owner of The Greater Chicago I-55 Truck Plaza, was just six years old, she stood on a milk crate to run the cash registers in her family鈥檚 grocery business. Today, she is using her expertise to help guide the family鈥檚 travel plaza, and she is sharing her insight to help the entire industry.

Puthusseril recently testified before Congress on behalf of 麻豆色播 and truckstop and travel plaza operators nationwide during a House Committee hearing titled Advanced Biofuels Under the Renewable Fuel Standard.

Dan Alsaker, a former 麻豆色播 chairman and president of Broadway Flying J, is a long-time Salvation Army supporter, and he recently helped the Salvation Army raise money during its annual Christmas luncheon.
